Given in 1516 as one of the several musical gifts from Petrus Alamire to Henry VIII, The Spy’s Choirbook is one of the finest early 16th century musical treasures in the British Library. Alamire and the English Cornett & Sackbut Ensemble perform a selection of the finest pieces from the collection, interwoven with illuminating tales of the book’s history.
